That's pretty much it, Barry - unless you find a friend who has some old
golf balls and you can take off the covers and retrieve the would rubber
underneath. The balls need to be 15 or 20 years old (I think) to do this
and I am not sure what the quality of the rubber is but I have seen many
different types in the ones I have stripped. This will definately NOT
work on current golf balls which have different core materials.
