Rubber thickness

Another one of my many questions. I haven't bought much rubber, but
the rubber that I do have seems to be about .045 thick. Does it come
thinner. I would like to cut some ministick motors, but .045 seems
thick if you slice a .020 strip off some bulk, ending up
with .020x.045.
