You may need more tesion between the two blades. There should be an
adjustment on the side which presses the upper cutter harder against the
lower one. Use VERY small changes, press too hard and you can warp of
crack the blades I had a similar problem with an old Polish cutter that
is about 20 years old and it was a bad spot on one of the blades, had to
buy new blades to fix the problem.
