Hi,
   The location of the hook is not a very important
issue except it must be in front of the CG of the
model. After that it boils down to a design choice of
maximizing the rubber band stretch and/or reducing the
amount of additional clay in the front of the model.

    So for example if you hold the model at the end of
the fuse you want to move the hook as far back on the
model as possible to maximize rubber stretch. Or you
may want to place the hook is place up front to reduce
the amount of clay that is needed to have the model
balance.
