Wright Stuff: About 42 foot flying height with 48 ft peak.

1st Mayfield 4:06 with ribbion drop bipe plane. These kids are GREAT!
One had a tapered rolled boom. Well built various key designs
experiments on three models...well done! Don if these kid ever get
into building indoor models look out records ( S ).

2nd Northmont (Kyle McClary) 3:52 with ribbon drop monoplane. Used a
burner.

3rd Chardon 3:50 no ribbon drop bipe. Well built plane had ceiling
perfectly.

4th Mentor 3:4? bipe with ribbon drop. From practice flights this was
team to beat. First launch ran into ground at launch from over torque.
Took safe second flight for fourth place and for thier team who missed
Nationals coming in 3rd.

Rest of field was strong with number of low 3 to high 2 minute kit
bipe planes.

None of superior planes will reach Nationals. Although Chardon's BLG
glider will make it. With the building skill level of a easy B she
will glide when launched high enough. These boys as always
from Chardon could explain what how they trimmed and built thier model.

By the Ways, spent most of the day with Wayne Johnson watching the
events. He said the Senior AMA Pennyplane record was broken at Kent
State...............might have F1D junior in making........anyone know
his name and time?
