Gary,

What you think the optimum TMA and tail area are for A-6? I have only built
one and it has a 50% stab, appx 130% CG and did 8:52 at ETSU. Dead sticked
from 50 ft too. I am wondering what I can do to improve it.may shorten TMA
(?)

Rgds,

Don DeLoach

Bill,
Everyone I know that uses round tissue tubes for wing & stab posts, rounds
their posts as much as is necessary for adjustment & I have never heard of
anyone having a problem at the USIC. I make sure I start with a 1/16" sq.
post and
only round the area in the vicinity of the tissue tube as required for
adjustment. Use your judgment. I would not worry about it. If you run into
an anal
CD, show him the proposed new A6 rules that try to address this concern.
As soon as I send this message I am going to go look at the photo of your
new
A6 and see if I can find something illegal about it.

Is it allowable for wing and stab posts to have enough length of the
rounded portion to make flight adjustments or must you do adjustments
in some other way? If you can have enough round post for adjustments,
how long is a reasonable length for the rounded part?

This may seem like a silly question but I have short posts and really
need a good part of them for adjustability.
