Bill, thanks for noticing that, and technically, I have to agree with
you. Although the Home Page of Indoor_Construction states something
to the effect topics such as "site acquistion" is very on-topic, it
was an oversight that I missed mentioning BEGINNERS ACQUISITION!
However, this could easily become a rules debate, or an unproductive
pissing match about what "ought to be" rather than what IS.
However, the special ad-hoc A6Rules Yahoo group proved farily
successful and reached a seemingly friendly conclusion. I am
personally very interested in BEGINNER ACQUISITION, especially the
effects of new or old "beginner" events. Therefore, I have created a
Yahoo Group to finish this discussion. Anyone from
Indoor_Construction is welcome to join. Only takes a click to do.
My experience in helping a Wright Stuff team last year convinced me
that *we* need a newcomer event that is easier than LPP. As Steve
described, there seems to be always some overlooked difficult
building aspect. I have some ideas for minimizing this and would
like to run it by in this new discussion group (experts ought to be
ashamed to fly it, but maybe not!)
Anyhow, I'll be allowing discussion to go whatever direction its
members think may clarify the beginner problem or produce any good
outcome.
