Hi Chris,

The contest combines HLG, SCLG and UCLG into one
event which they refer to as gliders. I believe a
UCLG has a big advantage over HLG and SCLG, so I
competed with a UCLG. My model was a 25"span, 4"
chord about 80 sq in. It weighs about 7 grams. I am
able to hit the ceiling with the glider, but not sure
how many more feet it will go up. It is not a large
building so you have to work hard to get the big plane
turning tight. One bad launch and the model can be
easily destroyed as it crashes into the walls.
If you look at your Cat 1 record times and note
the ceiling at Racine is 41 ft, you realize these
times were not that impressive.
