If you think sizing, or binders will be an issue, do a sloppy wet,
prerun; maybe, two. And, I really did want a nice blue sheen to my
boom, but I think they use permanent colors. Permanent to all but
light. The 35-cent domestic version will transfer color, but it isn't
tough enough to last more than one roll, if that.

I roll .005", <3.5# wood on 1/16th diameter rods this way. Oops, those
are easier... try .125" rods. Or, .165". Then squeegy the excess water
out before setting in a warm corner to forget. The only time anything
sticks is if I don't clean the glass of white glue stains. I've tried
laminating, too. Until the edges get frayed and lumpy, the end of the
sheet is marked with permanent ink - so I know where to start peeling.

If you want a real fragrant rolling session, try F1D.biz condenser
tissue. Smells like rotten onions. I prefer cheap Peck.
