Hi,
I just uploaded a modified plan for Slobodan Midich's X-foil designed
glider, "UP", to the files. The PDF is my version of his revised (UP-
Bis) design. He tweaked the original after feedback from Kurt
Krempitz. The original plan is on the AMAGlider website (link
in "Links"). Note, this is a test design, and Kurt is the only
individual I'm aware of who built the model.

According to Slobodan, [we] can change anything; just not the
airfoil. That is why there is so much detail for the wing section. My
only plan changes to UP-bis, as sent to me, was in the wing. His wing
was a flat center panel with tips elevated; tips were cut at roughly
3-inches. The wing was also square to the fuse. The empenage is per
his revisions.

I would recommend using lighter wood in the wing and stab. This was
an issue in the original test model. I just finished an outdoor
design for a 13" model specifying the lightest wood possible (4# -
4.5#).

I hope to try this model at Kibbie in 2006.

Good flying, and building,
Bruce in Seattle
